EIKEN cafe

Our waiting area is called EIKEN CAFE. Guardians of students may sit and chat and watch while their children take lessons. Each guardian is served a freshly made cup of coffee for free.

Mothers of babies may breastfeed in this area although it is not secluded. There are some toys and comic books to entertain young siblings of students taking lessons.

The walls of the waiting area are decorated with copies of EIKEN certificates which our students have gained. There are also copies of the latest EIKEN Times and EIKEN study materials which parents and students may read and use.

Students of David Price English School from elementary school to university level may freely use this area and the materials any time we are open from Tuesday to Saturday. Some children use this area to do their school homework before their English lesson. Others come here direct from school and study or read manga comics before going home since their parents are working until late.

We ask that children doing school homework be given priority in use of seats and tables.

Light refreshments such as snacks and drinks may be brought and consumed by students in this area provided they keep it clean. For example, children that finish school at lunchtime on Saturdays may eat their boxed lunches here before their lesson starts at 12.30.

Trial lesson

We offer free trial lessons to adults and children that are interested in trying our school. Usually the trial lesson means joining an existing class for a lesson together with the students. We do not offer one to one trial lessons. Besides trial class lessons, interested people may join the Sunday freetalk session free as a trial lesson.

No obligation or sales pressure. We guarantee that we will not telephone you after your trial lesson. Also, we will not do any sales talk before or after a free trial lesson. All we will do is answer any questions you may have. Unlike big chains, our staff do not have any sales targets and we do not employ any sales gimmicks such as rewarding people for introducing new students. If you are interested in trying a free trial lesson call our Japanese staff to arrange your free lesson at a time and level that matches your needs.

Starting a new class. If you have some friends that are interested in studying English together and starting a new class rather than joining an existing class, we can offer a free trial lesson for your group. In this case you can choose a native speaker teacher or a Japanese teacher of English.

For more details, or to arrange a free trial lesson, please telephone our Japanese staff.
